Study Circle was active at JVP. Topic studied at study circle were: Laser rays and their use for communication with artificial satellites and holography, mathematical methods to calculate conjunctions and oppositions of Sun-Moon, variable stars, occultation of stars and planets by moon, period of moon to be visible after new moon, moon phases, experiments to be done at solar eclipse on 16 February 1980, sun spots, change in orbit of Skylab while returning to earth.
